Chapter 4: Waiting For My Husband for Four Years
For The Last Four Years, I've been waiting for my husband
to get home from work.  I just keep this prayer in my heart
that someday he will come home to stay.  "I have to work,"
he explains. "Who else is going to pay the bills?  I have to work,"
He says.  He is gone from 8am-2am nearly every day, working two
full time jobs as a dishwasher.  I know he works hard.  But it's hard on
me to wait for him.  I don't know how I Do It....Love.  Because I Love him.
I never get tired of waiting for him to come home.  When he gets home,
I welcome him and get  in bed and cuddle with him.  We make up for lost time.
Marriage is a funny thing...you know, if you really love someone, you will find
yourself waiting for them to get home for ...four years and counting.
Meanwhile, I've gotten so much work done!  I write when my husband isn't home.
I write poetry while listening to music.  I've written about twenty five volumes of
poetry so far and I am still working.  I dream of the time when Theodore will retire
someday!  You see, he pays child support for another woman before me.  It takes nearly
all of his paycheck.  We live from paycheck to paycheck.  You could say, we're very poor.
We don't have disposable income...we just cherish the time we have together.
If you really love someone, you will wait for them.  Find a husband you are willing
to wait a lifetime for.  I can't wait for his child to grow up, so he can stop working
and spend time with me.  I wish we could retire!  True Love Waits.  I wait for Theodore.
And I always Will Wait For Him.
